The Wednesday Show with Cyril Mychalejko for January 5, 2022

On this week’s show, we’ll catch up with Cyril to see how his New Year is going so far and check in on the state of our democracy one-year out from the violent insurrection on the Capitol Building in DC.

We also have COVID cases skyrocketing as kids head back to school following the holiday break. And, the 2022 election season starts to heat up while Bucks County school boards show no signs of moderating.

And there’s the breaking scandal at the Upper Bucks Technical School as the board seeks to fire the Executive Director, Jeffrey Sweda, for “incompetency, intemperance, persistent negligence in the performance of duties, willful neglect of duties, and/or willful failure to comply with laws and directives.”

We’ll also check in with Cyril to find out what he’s got cooking for upcoming columns.

The Wednesday Show with Cyril Mychalejko for October 6, 2021

On this week’s show…We’re going to dig into Cyril’s latest column, “Bucks County Youth Must Rise Up to Defend Education.” In that column, Cyril interviewed Edha Gupta, a Central York High School activist who helped lead organizing efforts to overturn a ban on a list of books confronting racism written by people of color. Cyril sees lessons in those students’ organizing efforts for battles being fought right here in Bucks County and across the Commonwealth. We’ll also take a peek at what’s happening in his newsletter and what he’s got cooking for his next column.

The Wednesday Show with Cyril Mychalejko for September 15, 2021

We're back in your media feeds! Cyril Mychalejko is back with Kevin Mahoney to get us caught up on all the craziness in Bucks County.

The incredible disappearing Damsker? What? Rise in COVID numbers got you down? No longer the hero of local right-wing school board members? Worried about ties with Reopen PA? Who knows?

School boards throughout the county continue to go off the rails. Right-wing training camps sponsored by right-wing GOP activists. We're looking at you, Meehan.

And Cyril will give us a little preview of his brand new column.

The Wednesday Show with Cyril Mychalejko for Monday, August 18, 2021

It's a special Monday evening edition of The Wednesday Show with Cyril Mychalejko. It's been quite a week in Bucks County. We've seen rising tensions over mask mandates; right-wing ideologues flaming about Critical Race Theory; and, school board elections that seem to be smack dab in the middle of it all.

In the midst of all that, David Damsker, the Director of the Bucks County Health Department is under scrutiny for encouraging schools to evade state COVID regulations, dismissing the seriousness of the pandemic, and bragging about his dismissal of CDC guidance. That came after a series of emails were released showing Damsker encouraging a day care not to report COVID cases and so much more.

Check out tonight's special episode for some behind-the-scenes on the Damsker Chronicles.

The Wednesday Show with Cyril Mychalejko for July 28, 2021

On this week’s show, we’ll be talking about Cyril’s freshly minted column, “Join the Civil Rights movement of 2021 and beyond,” published today in the Bucks County Courier Times. Cyril had the opportunity to talk to Kadida Kenner of the New Pennsylvania Project about the critical need to protect and extend voting rights in PA at a moment when echoes of Jim Crow are heard in our media, school board meetings, and legislative sessions. I also hope to get his take on the decision by the Central Bucks School Board to NOT require masks for the upcoming school year despite new guidance from the CDC. And, if we have time, we might dip into Kathy Barnette’s bid for the Republican nomination for the PA Senate.
